The honest limit: scanned PDFs won't convert into editable text

If a PDF is really a photo or scan of a document (common for signed contracts, ID copies, or old paperwork run through a scanner), there is no underlying text layer at all — just a picture. A plain PDF-to-Word converter has nothing to extract in that case, because there's no text to find. Getting editable text out of a scanned document requires OCR (optical character recognition), a separate technology that recognizes characters from an image — SaveIt's converter does not include OCR, so be realistic about this limit before relying on it for a scanned document.
